Alain Miran,
From Paris where he’s been living for more than 20 years, Alain Miran became one the major actor in the eld of Sportswear and Jeanswear.
His first adventure was CASAMANCE EXPRESS in 1983 – 1990 : big commercial success for this subversive collection mixing must have of the 80s and African traditional fabrics and prints.
From the small shop in Paris center to more 800 points of sale the brand was the cool one all over Europe and US.
After this experience Alain began his fashion consultant career.
His friends and professional big network pushed him to collaborate with all new emergent brands of the 90s Buffalo, Verte Valle, Cimarron or Creeks have no secret for him.
He developed many new fashion concepts for those brands : advice on colours, shapes, fabrics, catching new trends, etc.
Then in the beginning 90s with the success of the lifestyle surfwear Alain began creative collaboration with European leaders as Gotcha, Sun Valley, developing up to date full ranges of products, with his incredible intuitive spirit.
This big know how in the eld of jeans, sportswear, and surf made Alain the must in the eld of creation consultancy many major groups ( Kiabi in France, Harley Davidson in USA, Asics in Europe but also Shinewide in China ) ask Alain to provide new concepts, new ideas, to (re) launch their brands on this really competitive and fast growing market. Fascinated by motorcycle and always in touch with new market tendencies, Alain collaborated during almost 12 years with his studio in the conception of the leather and technical garments collections for IFW Harley Davidson.
Alain is also the privileged consultant of the most important parts manufacturers of the market. Ed Hardy Gears, Bering, Triumph are some of his regular clients for strategic reection and conception of technical and protective clothing for motorcycling.
Always in scearch of new challenges and new experimentes Alain Miran realized in September, 2007 the dream of numerous amateurs of races motorcycles : dash for a crazy run on the mythical Bonneville Salt Flats.
Utha on his special tuned Triumph Thruxton « Tribute to Speed « prepared by the speed guru, Matt Capri. About 150 miles an hour has to touch the record in its category.
Alain Miran is also engaged in many europen vintage car races and championships with a 1971 Ford Escort Cosworth.
